Charity
- Who is your charity partner?
- For the Crossroads 5K Advanced Running Project has partnered with the Vandalia Recreation Fund which helps give opportunities to those at a socioeconomic disadvantage to compete in sports programs in the city of Vandalia.
- How much does ARP donate to the Vandalia Recreation Fund?
- That number depends on the success of the event. In 2019 we were able to donate over $900 to the Vandalia Recreation Fund. In 2020 with the pandemic we still donated $250 to the VRF.
- Can I make an additional donation to the charity?
- Absolutely! While registering their is a page that asks you if you would like to donate extra, 100% of that donation goes to the Vandalia Recreation Fund. Additionally at anytime you can visit RaceCrossroads.com and click "donate" to make a donation.
- Is the Advanced Running Project a non-profit?
- Advanced Running is not a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization, but don’t let a tax classification fool you. Supporting charities is part of the foundation of who we are and what we believe in as a company. Since our founding in 2018 we have donated $25,000+ to organizations in our community.
- Is my registration tax deductible?
- Unfortunately, no. While a portion of your registration fee will be donated to charity, we are not a 501(c)(3) charity and are therefore unable to provide tax receipts.
- How do we know you donated the money?
- After the event we will work with the city of Vandalia to make a final payment to them and will provide documentation of the acknowledgement letter we receive from the city of Vandalia on our Facebook page.
